Breanne Yee
Breanne Yee (pronounced bree-ANN YEE) is a first-year history teacher. Prior to this role, they student-taught 9th grade Ethnic Studies and Modern World History and worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant I for two years, both at Hillsdale High School.
Before pursuing a career in education, Yee worked as an Outreach Program Assistant for the Tenant Worker Center at the Chinese Progressive Association in San Francisco. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Law, Politics, and Policy, minoring in Asian American Studies and receiving a Legal Studies Certificate in 2022 from California State University, Long Beach. Their areas of focus include grassroots community organizing, American constitutional law, local San Francisco and Long Beach politics, and coaching youth dragon boat and track.
Yee has lived twenty years as a proud San Franciscan in the Sunset District, with North Beach and Chinatown as their second home. They are a product of SFUSD and the California State University system.
In their free time, Yee enjoys spending quality time with Dewey (their three year old gray tuxedo tabby cat), attending live music venues and festivals, hypertrophic weightlifting, and time at the ocean.
