Plant Pot Painting- Wednesday December 10th 

Come and join us at H225 on December 10th and enjoy a relaxing lunch before finals while painting plant pots. Sign up if you would like to join us. Hope to see you there! Walk-ins are acceptable as well.

Congratulations to the Fall 2025 CHS Mustang Service Award Winners! Jacob Fontenot*, Fatai Livai*, Luna Puentes Velasco, Atu Tutoe*, Diego Rodriguez*, Prishel Maharaj, Braulio Tavares*, Tristan Laderman*, Jocelyn Razo Valiente*, Leonardo Pena, Will Vander Lugt*, Colin Do*, William Ferreira*, Gavin Ku*, Alexa Chan*, Leila Adadoua*, Viviana Rogge*, Dania Osorio*, Isabel Padia*, Vika Filimoehala* (*Seniors) 

Collectively, these 20 students have volunteered for more than 1600 hours.  Cumulatively 70 Capuchino students have earned more than 8,500 hours of service since the program inception in the Spring of 2024.  I predict that we will surpass 10,000 hours of service with our Spring 2026 Awards. 

Lost and Found: Have you lost a jacket, backpack, glasses, water bottle, etc? It may be in the Lost and Found. Please come to the main office to find lost items. Items that are not picked up will be donated to a local thrift store.

Desi Club (Pronounced Day-Sea): Come celebrate and learn about South Asian culture through food, music, beauty, dance and many other traditions! Everyone is welcome— no matter your background. We meet in Room D-6. Follow us on Instagram for updates! @desi_clubcapuchino

 

Club Meetings

CLUB MEETINGS MEET AT LUNCH UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED

Environmental Club: Want service hours? Join us for our monthly cleanups and help make our community a better place. Events are open to all students. Cleanups and meeting updates are on our Instagram @capenvironmental. See you there!

Monday

Tuesdays

Latinos Unidos Meetings: Come be a part of Latinos Unidos. We meet every Tuesday at lunch in H136 (Ms. Alvarez's room).  Help plan events and celebrate the Latino culture.  We hope to see you there.

Math Club:  Prepare for the SAT and practice challenging math. We meet on Tuesdays in room A202 at lunch.

Micro-Organism Club – Are you interested in biology or biochemistry? Come join us Tuesdays during lunch in room D8 located just outside the D wing in Ms. Ngo's room. Everyone is welcome to come in and chill, or sign-up for exciting club activities!

Wednesdays

Future of Medicine Club: The purpose of this club is to give Capuchino students the opportunity to dive deeper into their interest in the medical field, educate them in the field, and give them the hope they need to pursue it. We meet once a month in D2, Ms. Tucker's room.

OFA CLUB: Ofa Atu, from the OFA Club.  The word OFA is an acronym for Opportunity For All but the word OFA also means Love in the Tongan language. The Club is open to all members who would like to be involved with Capuchino's Polynesian club, regardless of race, nationality, & gender. We meet Wednesdays  during Homeroom time. All students must check in with their home room then report to Room A207. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our meeting. OFAZ!

Thursdays

Bible Study Club: Join us @ Lunch in H101! Hear more about our club’s vision for this year and our personal testimonies. No prior knowledge required! Hope to see you there! God bless!

Chess Club: Chess Club meets Thursdays at lunch in A203. Come join the chess club! Experienced and novice players are welcome!

Interact Club: We, as the student associated community service group with the Rotary Club, aim to provide community service opportunities for the Capuchino Student Body. We do this through: volunteering at Rotary Club events, volunteering at local/Bay Area volunteer events (beach clean ups, senior connections, etc.), supporting other Interact Clubs within the inter- and intra- district, and creating our own opportunities. We meet on Thursdays in room D3 at lunch.

Fridays

Crochet Club: Interested in learning how to crochet or need a space to practice your skills at school? Stop by H246 on Fridays at lunch for Crochet Club!

Drama Club: New and returning members: we have a big theatre season coming up! Join us in Ms. Lemire's room, H214, on Fridays at Lunch for Drama Club! From productions and field trips to fundraisers and performing arts workshops, and everything in between, the 2025-2026 is going to be amazing! We can't wait to see you!

THAI CLUB: Food, fun, and more! Come by D6 (Ms. Grover's room) at lunch. We meet every other Friday, all updates are on our Instagram, @cap.thai.club. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you all there!

 

Looking to Start a Club?

If you are looking to start a club or submit a club for approval, please check in with your club advisor. All materials will be sent to them. Students will work with an advisor to create a club, but the paperwork must be submitted by the advisor. Drop by H225 if you have any questions.  Please contact Mr. Bywater at dbywater@smuhsd.org for information regarding clubs and other student activities.
