Mission Statement & School Goal

Mission Statement
At CHS, we aim for students to feel included as valuable community members who embody the traits of the IB Learner Profile. To this end, we work to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that challenges students to become internationally-minded. In order to do this, we must think, be and act with an openness to the world and recognize our own deep interconnectedness to others.

En Capuchino creemos...

• Todos los estudiantes y el personal merecen un entorno seguro e inclusivo, donde se respeten y celebren nuestros orígenes, intereses e identidades únicas.
• Los Enfoques de Enseñanza y Aprendizaje del IB y el Perfil del Alumno del IB guían lo que hacemos en nuestras aulas y en todo el campus.
• Debemos practicar la empatía y la mentalidad internacional, para que todos podamos crecer como individuos, al tiempo que fortalecemos nuestra comunidad en su conjunto.
• Debemos trabajar como comunidad para identificar y desmantelar los sistemas y prácticas injustos o dañinos, y luego crear otros nuevos para que todos podamos prosperar.

• All students and staff deserve a safe and inclusive environment, where our unique backgrounds, interests, and identities are respected and celebrated.
• The IB Approaches to Teaching and Learning and the IB Learner Profile guide what we do in our classrooms and around campus.
• We must practice empathy and international-mindedness, so that we all may grow as individuals, while strengthening our community as a whole.
• We must work as a community to identify and dismantle unfair or harmful systems and practices, and then create new ones so that we all can thrive.

Creencias de CHS

En CHS, aspiramos a que los alumnos se sientan integrados como miembros valiosos de la comunidad, encarnando las características del Perfil del Alumno del IB. Para ello, trabajamos para crear un entorno de aprendizaje seguro e inclusivo que los motive a desarrollar una mentalidad internacional. Con este fin, debemos pensar, ser y actuar con apertura al mundo y reconocer nuestra profunda interconexión con los demás.
