Our School
Capuchino High School is located in the city of San Bruno on the San Francisco Peninsula. It is one of the six comprehensive high schools in the San Mateo Union High School District. Capuchino serves a diverse student body.
Capuchino's faculty and staff continuously work together to draw from students' strengths and diversity, ensuring all students are provided the best possible education. At Capuchino, students are provided a multitude of subject and content discipline options ranging from Green Construction to Computer Science courses.
Capuchino High School students benefit from a rich curriculum highlighted by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, as well as AVID, Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Teams, and programs in technological arts, career and vocational, and fine and performing arts.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is a comprehensive and rigorous course of study with international accreditation and assessment. Juniors and Seniors pursuing an IB diploma take courses leading to IB examinations in English, World Languages, History-Social Science, Mathematics, Science, and an elective course (Music, Theater, Film or Dance). The IB program was established at Capuchino High School in 2004.
Capuchino students will graduate knowing they have acquired the necessary skills to meet the demands of the 21st century. They are engaged learners, collaborative workers, and independent thinkers who are college and career ready.
