If you’re undocumented and interested in higher education, you have an uphill battle. It can be difficult to get everything you need to get into and pay for college.
The good news is, a ton of organizations offer scholarships, academic and career resources, and other tools that undocumented students can use to make their college journeys successful.
Finding and getting into the right college or university can be a daunting task, but it can also lead to extremely rewarding opportunities for career and personal advancement. There are many national programs and state laws that allow undocumented students to attend the college of their choosing. This guide aims to help these students navigate the many exciting options available to them, in order to reach their educational goals.

The Educational Resource Binder is filled with accurate, up-to-date information covering 10 different themes and over 45 resources to increase college access for undocumented students in California.
In addition, we want to lift up our mental health resources for our community navigating these challenging times.
- Our Mental Health Connector provides undocumented young people in California with free psychological support by connecting them with experienced, licensed professionals.
- Our Virtual Wellness Gatherings are a virtual safe space for undocumented young people to stay grounded and connected to one another.

California’s leading college success nonprofit, 10,000 Degrees® helps students from low-income backgrounds get to and through college.
- Scholarship Opportunities
10,000 Degrees proudly provides scholarships to students with significant financial need who exhibit a strong desire to go to college and accomplish their educational goals. The majority of scholarships are available to students from Sonoma, Marin, and San Francisco counties though they also administer scholarships for students in the greater Bay Area (California). - Dream Act

When you’re undocumented, you face a lot of discrimination, and that creates a lot of fear. At United We Dream, we transform that fear into finding your voice. We empower people to develop their leadership, their organizing skills, and to develop our own campaigns to fight for justice and dignity for immigrants and all people. This is achieved through immigrant youth-led campaigns at the local, state, and federal level.

College of San Mateo - Multicultural and Dream Center
The Multicultural Center and Dream Center (MCCDC) is a safe haven for underrepresented students in college settings. Rooted in social justice, activism, and community empowerment, the MCCDC provides a safe space for students to implement change in their communities. The MCCDC serves numerous communities including AB540/Undocumented communities, LGBTQIA+ Communities, English as a Second Language Students, Current and Former Foster Youth.
Skyline College - Dream Center
The Dream Center can help you with issues like AB540 admissions, DACA, the California Dream Act and more. We are here to answer questions and provide support in a welcoming and safe space.
Canada College - Dream Center
The DREAM Center is a dedicated safe space for undocumented students, DREAMers, and allies. The DREAM Center can assist with issues including AB540 admissions, DACA and the California Dream Act. The Center also provides information and resources on scholarships, clubs, immigration services, food pantry and community resources.
