Family and student workshops will be hosted throughout the year to learn more about financial aid. Application deadlines vary by year.  Please drop-in to confirm you are applying for the right year and using the right application.  Below are general resources, but please drop-in to learn more.

In-Person Financial Aid Workshops

SMUHSD will be hosting in-person financial aid workshops at multiple school sites in January and February for 12th graders and their families to get hands-on assistance with completing the FAFSA and California Dream Act applications.

  • These workshops are open to all SMUHSD students and their families (not just students of the school where the workshop is located).
  • Please bring your school-issued laptop.
  • Spanish interpretation will be available for Spanish speaking families

Cash for College Workshops

Have questions about FAFSA or CADAA? Attend a free Calfornia Student Aid Commission (CSAC) Statewide Cash for College Webinar! These webinars provide students and their families information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

CSAC and San Mateo County Office of Education Workshops
Spanish interpretation will be available during both of these workshops.
