Welcome
Welcome to the Social Science Department
In our Social Science classes students will learn about a variety of different social, political, and economic events over the past 300 years. For example students will learn about influential world leaders, revolution, the development of governments and political thought, and the struggles of different populations for equality, and civil and economic rights. Students will learn to think critically and analyze information while gaining an understanding of human behavior and the way societies run.
The Social Science department provides opportunities for students to develop all of Capuchino’s Essential Skills with a focus on the following:
- Writing Skills
- Critical Thinking
- Historical Research Methods
