The Dork is Coming To CAP!--- WATCH THE VIDEO HERE!!!!!

Hey there Capuchino, did you know we have Frank Portman coming to our school? That’s right! Next Wednesday, September 27, he’ll be here. Frank Portman, who you may know as Dr. Frank of The Mr. T Experience, is the author of the novel King Dork. The novel focuses on a California teen, Tom Henderson, trying to deal with public high school – sound familiar to you at all? It gets even more personal when Tom and his friends try and make their non-existant lives better – by trying to form a band. They try to come up with names and covers before they even lay hands on an instrument, but in time, these guys figure it out and get their act together. In that time, Tom gets some action with the ladies, and the fun doesn’t stop there. He begins to investigate his father’s strange death by reading his copy of The Catcher in the Rye. The book is a wildly fun ride of a modern teen’s life, and I for one completely enjoyed it. You can’t relate to every event in the book, but you will be able to find yourself in Tom’s position for the vast majority. He will be discussing the book as well as possibly perfoming an acoustic guitar set. Don’t forget: next Wednesday, seven at night, CAP’s cafeteria, Frank Portman! Hope to see you there!
