This is a wonderful deep site. Check out the sidebar on the left for links to books and authors.

California Department of Education: Recommended Literature K-12
This site offers is a collection of outstanding literature for children and adolescents. These recommended titles reflect the quality and the complexity of the types of material students should be reading at school and outside of class.
Teenlink: New York Public Library
This site also includes an anthology of writing by teens on the Web. You, too, can publish your writing here. Besides reading other teens' writing, this site includes reviews and help with keeping up with the latest things to do, places to go and answers to your questions.
TeenLit.com
TeenLit.com is a private not-for-profit web site currently funded and administered by two secondary teachers in Southeast Michigan. The sole purpose of TeenLit.com is to promote Teen Literacy by providing a forum for teen writers to publish and discuss their writing, review and discuss books they read, and to provide a resource for their teachers.

A very handy compilation of comic book award nominees and winners, including the Eisner, Harvey, and Ignatz Awards, the Comics Buyers Guide Fan Awards, and others.
The Comics Journal is a magazine that covers the comics medium from an arts-first perspective. They are owned and operated by Fantagraphics Books, a leading publisher of alternative comic books (such as ACME Novelty Library and Eightball), collections and new work from underground comix pioneers (R. Crumb, Spain Rodriguez), and classic comic strip reprint volumes (Little Orphan Annie, Pogo).
