Script Format Short Film Critique  


Now comes your moment of truth. It's time to combine all the skills you have learned in this class and build out your very own short film. You and your group are responsible for all phases of production from pre through post. Here are some key details to consider:

Plot and Character:

Who are your characters?
What details reveal your character's personality and issues?
What is the major conflict that the character or characters are faced with (plot line/big idea)?
What will be your 3 Act structure: Beginning, Middle, and End?
What scenes and locations will you need to tell your story?
What twist in the plot can you add to keep your audience guessing?

Requirements-

Your project must include the following:
1. 3-5 minutes in length
2. a typed treatment that explains your big idea and production details
3. 3-5 page script that includes some dialogue using the format on the site
4. a shooting script/storyboard that numbers, describes, and sketches the shots for each scene
5. 5 scenes that clearly develop your script
6. good production value in audio and cinematography
7. audio score that relates to the moods and emotion explored in the film
8. effects that enhance the impact of the film
9. a feature opening title sequence of your name, piece or production company
10. closing credit sequence
